Terms of Trade

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms of Trade set out the fees, payment, booking, and cancellation arrangements that apply when you book or receive a consultation or service from Auckland Men’s Clinic (AMC). They apply alongside our Website Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Statement.

1. Fees and deposit

At the time of booking an appointment, you will be required to pay a deposit of $100. Our fees for initial consultations are set out in the service description for that service on our website. The costs of medications, prescriptions, referrals, and follow-up appointments will be communicated to you at the time.

The deposit reduces the number of appointments booked and not followed through on, and helps us keep appointment times available for patients who need them. The deposit is refunded, partially refunded, or retained in accordance with our cancellation policy below.

2. Changing or cancelling your appointment

1. More than 10 days’ notice: your deposit is refunded in full, less a $25 administration fee.

2. Between 5 and 10 days’ notice: 50% of your deposit is refunded.

3. Less than 5 days’ notice: your deposit is not refunded.

Refunds are paid by bank transfer. You will need to provide us with a New Zealand bank account number to receive your refund; this is held and used in accordance with our Privacy Statement.

3. Non-attendance

If you do not attend your appointment, or if you are not available at the time of a video or telephone appointment, no refund of your deposit will be provided, and you will be invoiced for the balance of the consultation fee.

4. Payment of invoices

Once you have had a consultation, or a service (including a prescription, referral, or medication supply) has been provided, we will send you an invoice by email for any balance owing. Please pay this within 7 days. Prompt payment helps us keep our fees affordable for all patients.

5. Overdue accounts

If an invoice remains unpaid 30 days after the due date, a $25 administration fee will be added. If it remains unpaid 60 days after the due date, a further $25 administration fee will be added. No further administration fees will be charged beyond this. If an account remains unpaid 90 days after the due date, it may be referred to a debt collection agency, and you may be liable for reasonable collection costs.

6. Your contact details

You must ensure that the phone number, email address, and postal or delivery address you provide us are current and appropriate for us to use to send you invoices, appointment reminders, and, where applicable, confidential personal and health information or medications.

7. Prescriptions

New prescriptions generally require a full consultation. Repeat prescriptions are provided at the clinical discretion of your clinician, and may require a further consultation depending on your condition and medication. Some medications, including controlled medications, may not be able to be prescribed by telehealth, or may only be prescribed in limited circumstances.

8. Referrals, certificates, and other requests

A fee applies for referral letters, certificates, repeat prescriptions, and other administrative requests completed outside a booked consultation. As with other costs, this will be communicated to you at the time.

9. Delivery of medications

Where medications are couriered to your nominated address, our Privacy Statement sets out how this is handled. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. Once a package is handed to the courier, delivery is outside our control.

10. Limits of our services

Our services, including telehealth consultations, are not for use in a medical emergency — call 111 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department. Some conditions require an in-person examination and are not suitable for a video or telephone consultation; your clinician will advise if this applies to you.

Our services are available to patients aged 18 or older who are physically located in New Zealand at the time of their consultation.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with the service you have received, please contact us in the first instance. You also have the right to complain under the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers’ Rights, including to the Health and Disability Commissioner. Complaints about how we handle your personal information are addressed in our Privacy Statement.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Trade from time to time. The current version will be provided to you at the time of booking and published on our website.

These Terms of Trade are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
